- Yonsei Medical Library was founded in 1908, as the library of Severance Medical School.
The present library building was built in 1980 and enlarged in 1993, with a total of 18,880.2 sq.ft. and 550 seats. Now, the collection contains about 153,000 volumes, including more than 1,156 subscribed journals (oriental journals - 200 titles, western journals - 1,156 titles). The Student's Self-Study Room holds 270 seats with 24-hours access.
In 1994, the computerization of the library collections and the LAN facilities within the library was completed. In 1997, web service was started. From 1998, users get fulltext of articles with electronic journal services. Now it grows up to 4,500 electronic journals and 3,500 electronic books.
The Audiovisual Division possesses all kinds of AV equipment, materials, projectors, a video editing system and character generator. Yonsei Medical Library : doing our best to serve our users.
