Industrial Health Center
Since the Industrial Health Center of YUMC was inaugurated in 1978 as Yonsei University Industrial Medical Research Institute, the Center has provided not only consulting opportunities about health issues with specialized medical personnel for industrial workers, but also quick and accurate analysis and management of all data on every examination and environmental estimation conducted in the Center through the computerization. Furthermore, as a medical institution the Center professionally maintains industrial health affairs such as working environment evaluation, general and specific health diagnoses, medical checkup prior to arrangement, health control execution, etc. for managing the health of industrial workers. These programs are based on the following purposes: to prevent, in advance, the health obstacles induced by the workers' labor; to protect and improve their health; and furthermore, to accomplish the industrial development, through improvements in the working environment, that has been requested over the last 20 years in the industrial technical field, into conditions that are acceptable to the workers.
